John Ratchford's Facebook Status

"thinks there are TWO Becky Ratchford's. How can one person do so many wonderful things for so many people in such a short period of time."

TRUE DAT. Seriously Becky Ratchford--seriously.

Photo-shopped "mess"

This MUST be photo-shopped, because it "appears" to be a mess at the Ratchfords...

Valentine's at the Ratchfords

Everyone should match and have pink and red gifts on Valentine's Day.

Just a normal day

Why not sit down and get all gross and messy with playdough? When you're Becky Ratchford, you can do this and not get stressed out...and please note, these aren't your normal playdough creations.

Seriously, where are the Mom-Jeans?

By the time I finally came face to face with the legend that was Becky Ratchford, I was already in awe of the tales told… but I must say that the picture in my mind of a mom-of-six didn’t quite meet my secret expectations…

Where were the elastic waistband mom-jeans? Where was the scrunchie? Where was the face filled with exhaustion and no makeup? Where were the random particles of food smeared on her clothing from one of her children?

Instead, before me was a lovely lady dressed head to toe in ‘chicness’, stylish haircut to die for, perfect face with a ready smile, and … adorable appetizers and wine glasses ready to go! Well, from there, things only got better:

Well-behaved, adorable children. Check.

Cool, fun husband. Check.

Halloween party perfection. Check.

Good taste in books. Check.

Continued love of wine and parties. Check.

I can’t say I won’t still try to catch her off guard one day to find a crack in the perfection. Perhaps I’ll spy in the windows of her house one morning and see Becky passed out on the kitchen floor with flour and chocolate chips in her hair – but it’s more likely that she’ll see me looking through the window and invite me in, give me a freshly brewed cup of Irish coffee, still warm pancakes just off the griddle and will kindly avert her glance when she sees my scrunchie.

Becky has some kind of special "mom powers" (or just lots of practice). She is the ONLY person who is able to get my daughter to fall asleep when we are all together. We love hanging out with the Ratchfords and Becky and John were the first friends we made when we moved into Landisville. Even though they left us and moved off of our street, (haha Im not bitter at all) we wouldn't have met all of the great people the Ratchfords have introduced us to. Not to mention, Becky is the one who started Wine drinking (aka Book) club, which is a ton of fun and provides a much needed night away once a month.
